Children's Crisis Services

The goal of this project is to gain a greater understanding of the current state of services for California’s children and youth in crisis, document challenges, identify effective service delivery models, and advance specific policy, funding, and regulatory changes to improve service quality and outcomes.  The legislature is now proposing the use of available funding to establish a one-time grant program to build capacity for the continuum of children’s crisis services. This continuum of services includes, but is not limited to, crisis residential programs, crisis stabilization services, mobile crisis support teams, family support services, and training. The Children’s Crisis Services report will be presented to the Commission at the July 2016 meeting.
